Winery Review: The HandCraft Petite Sirah is all about jammy fruit from beginning to end. It starts with aromas of cherry, plum and cocoa followed by flavors of blueberry, coffee and spice. This full-bodied wine has a bold tannin structure and balanced acidity that lead to a long finish. This big wine is anything but “petite.”

My Review: This wine struck me as incredibly full-bodied. This wine had qualities of cherry, blackberries and plum; dark fruits. This wine wasn’t as smooth as I’d like it to be. There was a bit of heat on the finish, making me believe that the alcohol content was a bit high or not well integrated.

With food?: I tried this wine without food.
