Wine Tasting – Altas Cumbres Cabernet Sauvignon

Name: Altas Cumbres Cabernet Sauvignon
Variety: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
Region: Mendoza, Argentina
Country: Argentina
Year: 2010
Price: $15.00 à $6.95

Winery Review: Intense red color with violet highlights, with clean, fresh and complex aromas of berries, plums, figs and pepper. Strong personality is in perfect balance with a medium body and pleasant tannins. Ideal for: red meats, cheeses and strong sauces.

My Review: This wine had a beautiful ruby color. On the nose, hints of burnt toast and coffee were strong and not entirely unpleasant. Cherry, cranberry and the taste of the smell of chili peppers (not even sure that makes sense…) came through on the palate. This wine also had a profile of blackberries, sweet then tart. On the finish, this wine is tannic and dry, cleaning the palate.

With food?: I did not have any food with this wine.
